The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course teaches divers the techniques they need to know to best navigate underwater. The course will teach you to lead other divers and to be confident in underwater direction when leading divers to a reef or shipwreck.

Requirements to enroll for the PADI Underwater Navigator Course
- You must be 12 years or older and have a PADI Open Water Diver Certification

Orca Industries provides it’s students with full scuba / snorkelling equipment & gear, cylinders, integrated buoyancy compensators, demand valves with gauges, diving computers, octo’s, wet suits, masks & snorkels, fins, gloves & booties, weight belts and dive bags for the duration of the course.

During the PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty course you will cover all aspects of underwater navigation, including navigation via natural clues and by compass.
During the PADI Underwater Navigator Speciality course you will learn the following:
- Navigation patterns
- Natural navigation (without a compass)
- Compass navigation
- How to “mark” or relocate a submerged object or position from the surface
- Underwater map making
- How to follow irregular courses with the Nav-Finder
- Dive site relocation
- How to judge distance underwater
