The PADI Rescue Diver Course is best described as a challenging, demanding and very rewarding experience. Rescue Divers are trained to look beyond themselves and to consider the safety and well being of other divers.

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is all about:

  • Expanding your knowledge on what you as diver already know
  • How to prevent problems
  • How to manage problems when they occur through techniques such as self rescue, rescuing panicking divers & unresponsive divers

The fun part about the PADI Rescue Diver course is rising to challenges and mastering them, it is an enjoyable way to build a divers confidence. The PADI Rescue Diver course takes a flexible and conceptual approach to rescue. During the water training sessions of the course students develop foundational skills, which are adapted to the divers’ personal differences and needs.

Divers are encouraged during skill development to experiment, benefit from their strengths, recognize their limitations and consider these variables in emergency situations. Student divers learn to first think about the options available for handling an emergency, and then act using their appraisal of the best method for the situation.
